Welcome

Welcome

Welcome to Open Path, an enlivening open learning space for sharing classical and contemporary teachings of unfolding and awakening – classically known as the Buddhadharma – at Shoreham, on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula about 100km south of Melbourne.

Open Path is convened by Bill Genat and Kathryn Shain. We have been sharing the teachings of Buddhadharma together for the past fifteen years, initially in Hawthorn and now in the more tranquil setting in bushland beside the sea in Shoreham. We bring our diverse life experiences to the explorations at Open Path and encourage people who share the space to do the same.

The vision of Open Path is establishing a supportive space for dharma exploration and cultivating a sangha (community) of friends with a deep interest in human development, unfolding and the generosity to share the insights and challenges of these explorations with others. We feel deeply that our living is our path of awakening.

With our utmost appreciation, this glorious website came into being through the wonderful skills and sensory feel of our long-time dharma friend Alan Dodds supported by his partner Jacqui. It built upon our previous site generously created and supported by another longtime dharma friend Mana Waite and subsequently maintained for a period of time with unending patience by Stewart Daniels.

Sarva Mangalam, Sarva Mangalam, Sarva Mangalam! Vast, Vast, Vast are the Blessings!
